life at natural power

Haley DiGiovanni

Solar analytics lead

When did you join Natural Power?

I joined in July 2021.

What does your day typically consist of?

Nearly all the solar analytic work Natural Power is engaged on will filter through me at some point in the process. In a typical day I work on several projects, whether that be active project analysis in PVsyst or excel, reviewing/ quality-checking of someone else’s analysis, or project reports and deliverables. Throughout the week I also have client calls to discuss current or future work and I also lead internal training sessions for new employees or on new methodologies.

What is the most challenging part of your role?

The most challenging part is the same as the best part: the ever-evolving industry standards and the constant technology innovation which means frequent methodology updates. It also means never being bored.

What is the most interesting type of work you have done and why?

My favorite type of projects are detailed analyses of operational projects. They are the perfect balance of objective numerical analysis and detailed problem solving, bridging the gap between what is theoretically possible and the real-life physical challenges. They also help inform our techniques for pre-construction analyses.

I spend my free time coaching high school girl’s lacrosse. Our team has been league champs for the past 2 years!
