Renewable energy has had a large increase in demand over the last decade, as the world looks to the industry to help reduce global emissions and its reliance on coal and gas sources. The biggest challenge that faces the industry now is people.
To tackle this, our team recently went to Cardiff to join the Careers Transition Partnership (CTP) fair. The event is dedicated to supporting armed forces transition to civilian life by promoting the opportunities available in other industries.
Our team members Jonny Boucker and Brandon Watkins attended the show to talk about the opportunities within Natural Power. This event, and others like it, are incredibly important to address the growing skills gap we are facing across all technologies as the industry tries to keep up with demand.
The armed forces open a talent pool of individuals that are already well trained and with some support, can hit the ground running. They can also help us by transferring their knowledge and training to teams across Natural Power, helping us to deliver event better services to our clients.
