When did you join Natural Power? 

I joined Natural Power in March of 2010. 

What does your day typically consist of?  

I’ve had the benefit of being a part of the company since very shortly after our launch in the U.S. market and thus have been fortunate enough to have had exposure to and experience in most of our service areas. Therefore, my days are quite varied and include project and client management, delivery of specialized technical advice, and independent and owner’s engineering services across the spectrum of renewable energy production and storage technologies. 

What is the most challenging part of your role?  

We are part of a dynamic industry and one of the most challenging parts of my role is staying abreast of technology advancements, new regulations, and an ever-growing and diverse set of stakeholders. 

What is the most interesting type of work you have done and why?  

I’ve been lucky in that many of my personal interests directly relate to and benefit me in my career. This makes what I do for work generally interesting across the board and I’d have a hard time singling out one aspect of my work experience. I’ve ridge-hopped in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia via helicopter to assess site feasibility, climbed and inspected wind turbines across the U.S., assisted in the development and deployment of our EchoSense® smart bat curtailment technology, and developed and maintained relationships, both professionally and personally, with so many great people in this industry. 

Provide a hidden talent or quirky fact about yourself! 

I have a hard time keeping to a particular hobby, but outside of work I keep busy as a firefighter, hobby farmer and butcher, hunter and fisherman, and youth sports coach.
